Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine का इस्तेमाल हेपेटाइटिस ए के लिए किया जाता है। इसका इस्तेमाल उन लोगों में जिनमें रोग होने की आशंका अधिक हो, पर्यटकों और यात्रियों, क्रोनिक लीवर रोग और महामारी फैलने की स्थिति में किया जाता है।

Q. What is hepatitis A?

Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus. It can range from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a severe illness lasting several months. Although rare, hepatitis A can cause death in some people. Consult your doctor immediately if you think you have symptoms of hepatitis A infection.

Q. How safe is Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine?

Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine is safe and well tolerated. The vaccines have undergone years of testing before being licensed by the health authorities and remain under continuous monitoring for safety. Side effects with Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine are mild to moderate in intensity and commonly include pain, swelling and redness at the injection site and headache.

Q. When should Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine be given?

Avaxim 80U Pediatric Vaccine is administered as a single dose subcutaneously over the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. No booster dose is required. Before injection, dissolve the vaccine powder in 0.5 ml of sterile water, and ensure the solution is free from particulates or discoloration. Cleanse the injection site with a suitable germicide, and avoid intravenous administration by aspirating to check that the needle hasn't entered a blood vessel.
