Before injection, dissolve the vaccine powder in 0.5 ml of sterile water, and ensure the solution is free from particulates or discoloration. Cleanse the injection site with a suitable germicide, and avoid intravenous administration by aspirating to check that the needle hasn't entered a blood vessel.
