हाइड्रोक्सीकार्बामाइड, पेशी नष्ट करण्यास कारणीभूत होणा-या राइबोन्यूक्लियोटाइडरिडक्टेज इन्हिबिटरच्या स्वरुपात कार्य करुन पेशी विभाजनाच्या एस-टप्प्यात डीएनए संश्लेषणावर आळा घालण्याचे काम करते. हे एस-टप्पा विशिष्ट आहे. हाइड्रोक्सीकार्बामाइड, पेशी नष्ट करण्यास कारणीभूत होणा-या राइबोन्यूक्लियोटाइडरिडक्टेज इन्हिबिटरच्या स्वरुपात कार्य करुन पेशी विभाजनाच्या एस-टप्प्यात डीएनए संश्लेषणावर आळा घालण्याचे काम करते. हे एस-टप्पा विशिष्ट आहे.
