Yes, Candid-V 6 Tablet ER is used around the vaginal area to reduce symptoms such as burning, itching, redness, and excessive discharge from the vagina that may occur due to a vaginal yeast infection. It works by stopping the growth of yeast (fungus) that causes the infection.
Q. What is the best time to apply Candid-V 6 Tablet ER?
You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is best to use it at night time for better results.
Q. What precautions are necessary while using Candid-V 6 Tablet ER?
Do not start treatment with Candid-V 6 Tablet ER during your periods as the medicine will be washed off with blood flow. In such a case, consult your doctor who can prescribe you oral antifungals. Also, do not use tampons, spermicide or other vaginal products while using Candid-V 6 Tablet ER.

Candid-V 6 Tablet ER does not affect sex life. However, do not have vaginal intercourse as long as you are using this medicine. Also, barrier contraceptives (condoms, diaphragms) may get damaged if it comes in contact with Candid-V 6 Tablet ER and may fail to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
Q. For how long do I need to use Candid-V 6 Tablet ER?
Symptoms of vaginal infection generally reduces within 2 to 4 weeks after use of Candid-V 6 Tablet ER. However, it is advisable to continue using it until the symptoms disappear or as long as prescribed by your doctor to avoid recurrence of the infection.
Q. What should I do if the infection comes back?
Candid-V 6 Tablet ER can be used again if the fungal infection returns after 7 days. However, if the infection recurs more than twice within six months, you should consult your doctor.

Vaginal fungal infection is due to overgrowth of fungus in the vaginal area. This can be due to overuse of certain antibiotics use, a weak immune system, diabetes, pregnancy, menopause and taking oral contraceptives or hormone therapy that increase estrogen levels.
