Q. What does Mific Injection do for acne?
Mific Injection belongs to tetracycline class of medicine. It treats the infection by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. It kills the acne-causing bacteria, which infect pores. It also decreases certain natural oily substance that causes acne.
Q. Can I take Mific Injection during pregnancy?
Mific Injection should be avoided during pregnancy as it may cause harm to your unborn baby. Using the medicine during the last half of pregnancy may cause permanent discolouration of teeth and underdevelopment of tooth enamel. Discuss with your doctor for any further query.
Q. How is Mific Injection administered?
Mific Injection is given in vein (intravenously) only when the patient cannot take the oral formulation. Rapid administration of the medicine should be avoided. Usual initial dose should be administered over 60 minutes every 12 hours and should not exceed a certain level in 24 hours.
