पिरासेटम, गाबा (गामा एमिनो बुटायरिक एसिड) एनालॉग नामक दवाओं की श्रेणी से सम्बन्ध रखता है। यह ऑक्सीजन की कमी के खिलाफ मस्तिष्क और तंत्रिका तंत्र की रक्षा करने का काम करता है और यह तंत्रिका कोशिका झिल्ली पर विभिन्न आयन चैनलों को भी प्रभावित करता है।

- यदि आपको पिरासिटम, पायरोलिडोन डेरिवेटिव या टैब्लेट/सॉल्यूशन के किसी घटक से आपको एलर्जी है तो पिरासिटम टैब्लेट/ओरल सॉल्यूशन न लें।
- यदि आपको गंभीर किडनी रोग; ब्रेन हैमरेज या रक्तस्राव की समस्या है; या हंटिंगटन रोग (न्यूरोडिजेनरेटिव जेनेटिक डिसॉर्डर जो मांसपेशी के समन्वयन को प्रभावित करता है) हो तो पिरासिटम न लें।

You should not take Cognitam 800mg Tablet if you are allergic to Cognitam 800mg Tablet or any of the ingredients in the medicine. Also, avoid taking Cognitam 800mg Tablet if your kidney functions are severely deranged or if you ever had localized bleeding in the brain (cerebral hemorrhage). You should also avoid taking this medicine if you are suffering from Huntington’s disease/chorea (a genetic disorder where the brain cells die quickly causing deterioration of mental and physical abilities over time).
