आर्टीथर, आर्टेमिसीनाइन का एक अर्ध कृत्रिम व्युत्पाद, सेस्क्विटरपीन लैक्टोन नामक दवाओं की श्रेणी से सम्बन्ध रखता है। यह खून में मलेरिया परजीवी के एरिथ्रोसाइटिक चरण पर तेजी से हमला करता है।
