Q. I have been taking Laconext 100 Tablet since nine months and haven’t had any seizures till now. Can I stop taking it now?
No, you should not stop taking Laconext 100 Tablet even if you start feeling better. Stopping this medicine suddenly may lead to seizures which can be difficult to control. Consult your doctor if you experience any problems while being on treatment with Laconext 100 Tablet. The doctor may adjust the dose or gradually reduce the dose.
Q. Is it safe to drive if I am taking Laconext 100 Tablet?
No, you need to be careful while driving or operating heavy machinery until and unless you know how Laconext 100 Tablet affects you. You may experience dizziness or drowsiness and blurred vision, especially during the initial days of treatment. These side effects can also be observed if the dose is increased.
Q. What should I do if I forget a dose of Laconext 100 Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Laconext 100 Tablet within 6 hours of the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if you have forgotten to take the dose for more than 6 hours of the scheduled time then skip the dose and take the next one as scheduled. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.

Q. Is Laconext 100 Tablet a habit-forming medicine?
No, Laconext 100 Tablet is not habit forming. There are no reports which suggest occurrence of withdrawal symptoms following its discontinuation. Laconext 100 Tablet may cause euphoria (patients may feel extremely happy and overwhelmed) in some individuals who may then take it merely for fun (drug abuse). It is possible that such individuals may become psychologically dependent on this medicine.
Q. Does Laconext 100 Tablet have any effect on fertility?
Laconext 100 Tablet has not been reported to affect fertility in males or females. However, if you are concerned, consult the doctor.
Q. Can I take Laconext 100 Tablet if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Though no potential side effects have been reported with the use of Laconext 100 Tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is best to avoid Laconext 100 Tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Q. For how long do I need to continue Laconext 100 Tablet?
Laconext 100 Tablet is generally prescribed for long-term use. Keep taking the medicine as advised by your doctor’s advice. However, if you experience any bothersome side effects, talk to your doctor.
Q. What if somebody takes excess of Laconext 100 Tablet?
Excess of Laconext 100 Tablet may cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, shock, heart problems and even coma. If such a situation arises, seek emergency medical support in a nearby hospital.
Q. Is it safe to take Laconext 100 Tablet if I am on Ritonavir therapy?
Be cautious if you are taking Laconext 100 Tablet while on Ritonavir therapy. It is advised to inform your doctor before starting Laconext 100 Tablet. This is because if you are taking Ritonavir for liver or kidney problems then the dose of Laconext 100 Tablet should be modified or reduced.
