Gesry H 250mg Injection પ્રોજેસ્ટિન છે (માદા હોર્મોન). તે ગર્ભાશયમાં એસ્ટ્રોજનની માત્રા બદલીને હોર્મોન રિપ્લેસમેન્ટ થેરાપીના ભાગ રૂપે કામ કરે છે. તે કુદરતી પ્રોજેસ્ટેરોનને બદલીને માસિક સ્રાવ લાવવાનું કાર્ય કરે છે જે કેટલીક સ્ત્રીઓમાં આવતું ન હોય.
હાઇડ્રોક્સિ પ્રોજેસ્ટેરોન, પ્રોજેસ્ટિન (માદા હોર્મોન) નામની દવાઓની શ્રેણી સાથે સંબંધ ધરાવે છે. તે સ્ત્રી હોર્મોન પ્રોજેસ્ટેરોનનું કૃત્રિમ સ્વરૂપ છે, આમછતાં ચોક્કસ પદ્ધતિ કે જેના દ્વારા તે અધૂરા મહિને પ્રસૂતિ જન્મના જોખમ ઘટાડે છે એ જાણીતું નથી.
