Gabantin capsule કેવી રીતે કાર્ય કરે

Gabantin 400 Capsule એ શરીરમાં નુકસાન પામેલ ચેતા દ્વારા મોકલેલા દુખાવાના સિગ્નલની સંખ્યાને ઘટાડીને કાર્ય કરે છે. Gabantin 400 Capsule એ મગજમાં ચેતાની પ્રવૃત્તિને અવરોધે છે અને આંચકી ઘટાડે છે.
આ ક્રિયાની સાચી વિધિ અજ્ઞાત છે; આમછતાં ગાબા પેન્ટિન મગજમાં અસામન્ય ઉત્તેજનાને ઓછી કરી આંચકી (એપ્લેપ્સી)નો ઇલાજ કરે છે. આ શરીરમાં દુખાવાના અનુભવ થવાની રીતમાં બદલાવ લાવી પરિઘીય નસોના દુખાવામાં પણ રાહત અપાવે છે.

Gabantin Capsule માટે નિષ્ણાતની સલાહ

હંમેશા ગેબાપેન્ટિન કેપ્સ્યુલ્સ, ટીકડીઓ, અને મોંથી લેવાના ઓગાળેલું દ્રાવણ પાણી ભરેલા આખા ગ્લાસ (240 મિલી) સાથે લેવું. દવાનો ઉપયોગ કરવો નહીં:
  • જો તમને પોતાની જાતે નુકસાન કે મારી નાખવાનો (આત્મહત્યાની વર્તણૂક) વિચાર આવે કે વર્તણૂક થાય.
  • જો તમને ગેબાપેન્ટિનના એક કે વધુ ડોઝ લીધા પછી એલર્જીક પ્રતિક્રિયા થાય (અતિસંવેદનશીલતા).
  • લક્ષણો જેમ કે ફોલ્લી, તાવ, કે લસિકા ગાંઠમાં સોજો (લીમ્ફાડેનોપથી).
  • જો તમને કોઇપણ કિડનીની સમસ્યા હોય કે હાલમાં હેમોડાયાલિસિસ પર હોવ.
  • જો તમને સ્નાયુમાં દુખાવો અને/અથવા નબળાઇ થાય.
  • જો તમને સતત પેટમાં દુખાવો, ઊલટી થવાની ઇચ્છા (ઉબકા), ઊલટી જેવા લક્ષણો થાય તો તત્કાલ તમારા ડોકટરનો સંપર્ક કરો કેમ કે આ સ્વાદુપિંડના સોજા (તીવ્ર પેનક્રિઆટાઇટિસ) ના લક્ષણો હોઇ શકે છે.
જો તમને સતત પેટમાં દુખાવો કે બિમાર (આ સ્વાદુપિંડમાં તીવ્ર સોજાની નિશાનીઓ હોઇ શકે) પડવાની લાગણી જણાય તો દવા લેવાની બંધ કરવી.

It varies from person to person. Some people take about a week or two before noticing relief in pain. Whereas, some people may see an improvement straight away. It is recommended that you take Gabantin 400 Capsule only for nerve pain and as advised by your doctor.
Q. I think I have gained weight since I started taking Gabantin 400 Capsule. Can this be because of Gabantin 400 Capsule?
Yes, Gabantin 400 Capsule may cause weight gain because it increases your hunger. Regular physical exercise and a balanced diet with low calorie food may help you maintain a stable weight. Consult a dietitian if you have any further concerns to keep your weight stable.
Q. For how long do I need to take Gabantin 400 Capsule?
Your doctor will decide the duration of the treatment based on your condition and your response to the treatment. For instance, if you have been prescribed Gabantin 400 Capsule for epilepsy, you may have to take it for a long time, maybe years even if your seizures are controlled. Whereas, if you are taking it for nerve pain and it has relieved your pain, you may have to take it for several months only.

Q. What are the serious side effects that may occur while taking Gabantin 400 Capsule?
Taking Gabantin 400 Capsule may cause yellowing of the skin or eyes (warning signs of jaundice), trouble in breathing or talking and tightness in chest or throat (suggestive of serious allergic skin reactions). It may provoke suicidal thoughts and cause unusual bruises or bleeding which may be due to blood disorder. Other serious side effects may include muscle weakness and pain, fever which could lead to kidney failure, long-lasting stomach pain, nausea and vomiting (suggestive of pancreatitis and rash).
Q. Is Gabantin 400 Capsule habit forming?
No, it will not be addictive if you take it as per your doctor’s recommendations. However, physical dependence has been reported in people who had taken more than the recommended dose of Gabantin 400 Capsule or had used Gabantin 400 Capsule for illnesses it is not approved for.
Q. I am taking Gabantin 400 Capsule for nerve pain. Can I take it off and on?
No, Gabantin 400 Capsule is not a simple pain reliever. It is important that you follow your doctor’s advice strictly. Taking it off and on may not give you the desired results and may worsen your pain.
Q. What if somebody takes more than the recommended dose of Gabantin 400 Capsule?
A higher than the recommended dose of Gabantin 400 Capsule may cause faintness, dizziness, double vision, unclear speech, drowsiness, tiredness and mild diarrhea. The person requires immediate medical attention by a doctor or in a nearby hospital.
Q. What should I tell my doctor before taking this medicine?
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines including medicines for epilepsy or seizures, medicines used to thin your blood (e.g., warfarin), birth control pills, medicines to control bacterial infection (e.g., chloramphenicol, metronidazole, and doxycycline), medicines to control viral infection (e.g., nelfinavir), asthma medicines (e.g., theophylline and montelukast), etc. Also, inform your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Further, you should tell the doctor if you have ever had liver problems, kidney problems, lung problems, or porphyria (a rare blood pigment disorder).
Q. What should I avoid while taking Gabantin 400 Capsule?
If Gabantin 400 Capsule makes you feel sleepy, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. Alcohol consumption should be avoided since taking both together may cause excessive sleepiness.
Q. Does Gabantin 400 Capsule reduce the efficiency of oral birth control pills?
No, Gabantin 400 Capsule does not have any effect on oral birth control pills.
