How rotateq oral drops works

RotaTeq Oral Vaccine contains small amounts of weakened rotavirus (a virus that causes diarrhea). It works by provoking the the immune system to produce antibodies (proteins), without actually causing a disease. In the event of infection, these antibodies protect against diarrhea caused by rotavirus.

  • Rotavirus vaccine (live attenuated,oral) helps protect your baby from a kind of virus (rotavirus) that can cause bad diarrhea.

Rotavirus infection is a highly contagious infection that spreads at a very fast pace from child to child, and is caused by a virus, mostly affecting infants and young children. Giving RotaTeq Oral Vaccine is the best way to prevent Rotavirus infection.
