Nebiloc 10mg Tablet is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels. This makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

  • Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack.
  • It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you are diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Do not stop taking Nebivolol suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Q. How long does Nebiloc 10mg Tablet take to start working?
After 1 to 2 weeks of starting Nebiloc 10mg Tablet your blood pressure may decrease. However, it may take 4 weeks to see full benefits.
Q. Now that my blood pressure has become normal, can I stop taking Nebiloc 10mg Tablet?
No, you should not stop taking Nebiloc 10mg Tablet even if you start feeling better. Nebiloc 10mg Tablet controls high blood pressure but does not cure it. If you stop Nebiloc 10mg Tablet suddenly, you may increase your chances of having angina, heart attack, or irregular heart-beat. Talk to your doctor who may advise you to decrease the dose gradually over 1 to 2 weeks.
Q. What can happen if I take more than the recommended doses of Nebiloc 10mg Tablet?
Taking more than the recommended doses of Nebiloc 10mg Tablet may cause very slow heart-beat, low blood pressure with possible fainting, difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath, and acute heart failure. In case you take excess of Nebiloc 10mg Tablet, contact your doctor immediately.

Q. Can Nebiloc 10mg Tablet be taken if I am taking ibuprofen?
You have to be careful while taking both ibuprofen and Nebiloc 10mg Tablet and keep monitoring your blood pressure on a regular basis. The reason being, ibuprofen may interfere with the working of Nebiloc 10mg Tablet and your blood pressure may increase. Similarly, discontinuing ibuprofen may decrease your blood pressure. This is usually seen in cases where ibuprofen is used for a longer time.
Q. I am a diabetic. Can taking Nebiloc 10mg Tablet affect my blood sugar levels?
No, Nebiloc 10mg Tablet does not have any effect on blood sugar levels. However, keep tracking your blood sugar levels because use of Nebiloc 10mg Tablet may mask the symptoms of low blood sugar levels, like fast heartbeat and palpitations.
Q. Can Nebiloc 10mg Tablet be given to old age patients?
Yes, Nebiloc 10mg Tablet can be given to patients who are 65 or above, but strictly as per the doctor’s advice. In this patient group, the doctor would recommend to start with the lowest dose and gradually reach the desired dosage. In patients who are 75 years or older, close monitoring of blood pressure is required.

No, Nebiloc 10mg Tablet has not been reported to cause weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you experience weight gain while taking Nebiloc 10mg Tablet as it could be due to some other underlying condition.

Yes, Nebiloc 10mg Tablet crosses the blood-brain barrier due to its lipophilic nature. Its lipophilic nature makes it capable of combining with lipids and fats. So, it is effective in the treatment of migraine and essential tremors. This could also cause higher chances of central nervous system effects such as lethargy, confusion, and depression.
Q. What is the risk associated with Nebiloc 10mg Tablet if I take it during pregnancy?
Nebiloc 10mg Tablet should not be used during pregnancy since it decreases blood supply to the unborn baby which can result in death of the child in the womb. Decreased blood supply can slow down or retard the growth of the baby and may even lead to abortion or early labor. Inform your doctor that you are using Nebiloc 10mg Tablet if you have become pregnant, so that the doctor can change your medication.
