Mecob OD tablet is a combination of Methylcobalamin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Pyridoxine, Thiamine and Folic acid. Methylcobalamin is used in peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy etc. It is a form of vitamin B12. This vitamin is one of two active coenzymes used by B-12 dependent enzymes in the body.
 
Methylcobalamin is used in treating diseases of vitamin B12 deficiency, or diseases of effective B12 deficiency, such as vitamin B12 metabolic pathway. Methylcobalamin is retained in the body better than cyanocobalamin. 
 
Alpha-Lipoic Acid or ALA is a naturally occurring compound that's made in the body. It serves vital functions at the cellular level, such as energy production. Alpha-lipoic acid helps to prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body, and also restores vitamin levels such as vitamin E and vitamin C. Alpha-lipoic acid breaks down carbohydrates and to make energy for the other organs in the body. Alpha-lipoic acid works as an antioxidant, which means that it might provide protection to the brain under conditions of damage or injury. The antioxidant effects are also helpful in certain liver diseases.
 
The trio of Mecobalamin, Pyridoxine and Folic acid helps in bringing down the level of homocysteine in blood, the major factor for atherosclerosis. Thus, Mecob OD tablet reduces the major risk factors for atherosclerosis and neuropathies.
 
Direction for use:
Mecob OD tablet should be taken once in a day.
 
Use under medical supervision.
