How do you clean a thermometer?
Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean the inside of any small crevices. Allow the alcohol to air-dry on the thermometer to kill germs effectively

What can affect a thermometer reading?
Direct sunlight, cold temperatures or a sweaty forehead can affect temperature readings. Variations in user technique, such as holding the scanner too far away from the forehead, also may affect accuracy
