T-Bact 2% Ointment is an antibacterial medicine and will only help if the diaper rash is due to bacterial infection.
Q. What if I do not get better after using T-Bact 2% Ointment?
Inform your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine. If you do not feel better after finishing the full course of treatment, consult your doctor.
Q. For how long do I need to use T-Bact 2% Ointment?
Use T-Bact 2% Ointment for the duration advised by your doctor. The bacteria are normally cleared from your skin within 10 days of starting the treatment. Do not use it for more than 10 days. If your skin condition does not improve within 3-5 days, see your doctor.

Q. How should I use T-Bact 2% Ointment?
Follow the directions given by your doctor carefully. Wash your hands before applying the T-Bact 2% Ointment. Apply the medicine to the infected area of the skin 2-3 times daily or as told by your doctor. You can cover the treated area with a dressing or leave it open as per your doctor’s advice.
Q. Can I apply T-Bact 2% Ointment on an open wound?
Avoid using the T-Bact 2% Ointment for large open wounds. Consult your doctor on how to use it and follow all instructions for maximum benefits.
Q. After I applied T-Bact 2% Ointment, I felt burning and stinging sensations. Should I stop using it?
Burning sensation is a common side effect of applying T-Bact 2% Ointment. However, stinging is uncommon. It does not last long and will disappear after sometime. Do not stop using T-Bact 2% Ointment because of these mild side effects. If you have any concerns consult your doctor.
Q. In which areas of the skin should I avoid using T-Bact 2% Ointment?
T-Bact 2% Ointment should not be used to treat infections in or near the eyes, nostrils, or mouth. If this medicine accidentally enters your eyes, wash your eyes thoroughly with water. In case you have tubes inserted in your body for the delivery of fluids or medicines (cannula), do not use this medicine to treat the skin near that area.
Q. What should prompt me to stop using T-Bact 2% Ointment?
Wash off the medicine immediately if you get a raised and itchy rash, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing, fainting, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, or other parts of the body. These may be signs of severe allergic reactions. You should immediately stop using T-Bact 2% Ointment and consult your doctor. Though unlikely, if you get abdominal cramps and diarrhea, you should stop T-Bact 2% Ointment immediately and consult your doctor.
