ट्रेटिनॉइन न लें और डॉक्टर को सूचित करें:
- यदि आपको ट्रेटिनॉइन या उसके किसी घटक या अन्य 'रेटिनॉइड' दवाओं (आइसोट्रेटिनॉइन, एसिट्रेटिन तथा टैजारोटीन) तथा मूंगफली या सोया (क्योंकि ट्रेटिनॉइन दवाओं में सोयाबीन का तेल हो सकता है) से आपको एलर्जी है।
- यदि आप गर्भवती हैं, गर्भधारण की योजना बना रही हैं या स्तनपान करा रही हैं।
- ट्रेटिनॉइन लेने के दौरान गाड़ी ड्राइव या मशीनों का परिचालन न करें
- ट्रेटिनॉइन लेने के दौरान और लेना बंद करने के एक महीने (चार सप्ताह) तक गर्भधारण करने से बचें। अपने डॉक्टर से सलाह लें कि आपके लिए किस गर्भनिरोध विधि का इस्तेमाल करना उचित होगा।
- आंखों, नाक और मुंह में ट्रेटिनॉइन क्रीम के इस्तेमाल से बचें।

- उपचार के पहले 2-3 सप्ताह तक यदि आपकी त्वचा की स्थिति अधिक खराब लगती है तब भी ट्रेटिनॉइन क्रीम का इस्तेमाल बंद न करें। ऐसा होना सामान्य है।
- त्वचा पर अन्य दवाइयां या उत्पाद लगाने से पहले अपने डॉक्टर से सलाह लें।
