T Mycin Kid Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

T Mycin Kid Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.

{med_name} is used in the treatment of pertussis, diphtheria and bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues.

T mycin tablet कैसे काम करता है

T Mycin Kid Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by interfering with the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to perform important functions. By doing so, it stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading.

  • Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect.
  • Do not give Erythromycin to treat viral infections as it will be ineffective.
  • Give Erythromycin only for the current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
  • Stop Erythromycin and call the doctor right away if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty soon after the intake. 
  • Give Erythromycin only when prescribed by the doctor. Never share your child's medicine with anyone else as it can harm.

Q. What if I give an overdose of T Mycin Kid Tablet by mistake?
Though an extra dose of T Mycin Kid Tablet does not usually cause any harm, you must consult a doctor immediately if you feel you have given too much of it to your child. Never forget that overdose can increase the risk of unwanted side effects and may even worsen your child’s condition. So, stay vigilant and adhere to the prescribed dose.
Q. What are the serious side effects of T Mycin Kid Tablet?
T Mycin Kid Tablet may rarely cause some serious side effects such as severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfection), severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, blood infections, and heart conduction abnormalities like QT prolongation due to arrhythmia. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.

Q. Is it safe to give T Mycin Kid Tablet if my child has low potassium levels in blood?
Avoid giving T Mycin Kid Tablet if your child has low potassium levels as it can lead to conduction abnormalities of the heart such as arrhythmias (QT prolongation).
Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with T Mycin Kid Tablet?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.

Your child’s doctor may advise you to track your child’s ECG and liver functioning periodically as that will help to keep a check on your child’s condition.
Q. My child is having a sore throat and ear infection. Can I give antibiotics?
No. Sore throats, runny nose, cough, pain, or discharge from the ear are almost always caused by viruses. As per statistics, more than 80% of sore throats and ear infections are caused by a virus. Since antibiotics should not be given for viral infections, it will be best if you consult your child’s doctor to seek guidance.
