एज़ेलास्टिन, एंटीहिस्टेमिन नामक दवाओं के समूह से सम्बन्ध रखता है। यह एक एलर्जिक प्रतिक्रिया के दौरान शरीर में उत्पन्न होने वाले एक प्राकृतिक केमिकल (हिस्टेमिन) को अवरुद्ध करता है।

यह ड्रग चक्कर या तंद्रा ला सकता है। ड्राइविंग या ऐसी गतिविधियों को करते समय सावधानी रखें जिनके लिए चौकसी की जरूरत होती है।जेलास्टाइन शुरू मत करें या जारी न रखें और अपने डॉक्टर से परामर्श करें यदि: आप एजेलास्टाइन या एजेलास्टाइन के अन्य घटक के प्रति ऐलर्जिक हैं।
