Mox 125mg सस्पेंशन के लिए अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल

Amoxycillin

Q. Can I give Mox Suspension to my child repeatedly for a long time?
Giving your child Mox Suspension for a long time can cause fungal infection (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Therefore, do not alter the dose and duration on your own and give Mox Suspension to your child exactly as prescribed. Additionally, irregular treatment, repeated use, and misuse of Mox Suspension can make the bacteria resistant.
Q. Are there any possible serious side effects of Mox Suspension?
Although rare, Mox Suspension may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergies, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.
Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Mox Suspension?
Mox Suspension can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Mox Suspension. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.

Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Mox Suspension?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
Q. The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.
Q. Is Mox Suspension safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?
No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case, as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Mox Suspension.
Q. Can Mox Suspension cause an allergic reaction?
Although it is rare, yes, Mox Suspension can cause an allergic reaction and is harmful in patients with known allergies to penicillins. Get emergency medical help if you notice any signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing, swelling face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Q. Can the use of Mox Suspension cause diarrhea?
Yes, the use of Mox Suspension can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic, and it kills the harmful bacteria; however, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If diarrhea persists, talk to your child’s doctor about it.
Q. Can I stop giving Mox Suspension to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop giving Mox Suspension and finish the full course of treatment even if the child feels better. Symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared.
