डेफ्लाज़ाकोर्ट, एक कोर्टिकोस्टेरॉयड दवा है। यह शरीर में ग्लुकोकोर्टिकॉयड के स्तर को बढ़ाता है और सूजन पैदा करने वाले पदार्थों के गठन को घटाता है और प्रतिरक्षा तंत्र द्वारा शरीर को आत्म-क्षति (अंग प्रत्यारोपण या कैंसर में होने वाले आत्म-प्रतिरक्षी प्रतिक्रियाएं) को रोकने के लिए प्रतिरक्षा को दबाता है।
