Cephadex 250 Capsule का इस्तेमाल जीवाण्विक संक्रमण में किया जाता है इसका इस्तेमाल मूत्र मार्ग, त्वचा, नरम ऊतकों, खून, पेट, फेफड़ों( निमोनिया) और महिलाओं के जननांगो में होने वाले बैक्टीरियल संक्रमण के कम अवधि वाले इलाज में किया जाता है। इसका इस्तेमाल सर्जरी के बाद होने वाले संक्रमण को रोकने में भी किया जाता है।
