  • Stop taking Cetirizine at least three days before undergoing an allergy test, as it can affect the test results.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as alcohol can increase sleepiness.
  • Discontinuing the medicine after prolonged use (several months) may lead to a temporary recurrence of itching, which may persist for a few days before settling.
  • If you feel sleepy, you may take your dose in the evening (around 8–9 PM) after speaking with your doctor.
  • If you have kidney disease or reduced kidney function, you may require a lower dose. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • If you have a history of seizures, use this medicine with caution and consult your doctor before taking it.
