This is a combination of two medicines: Sucralfate (topical) and Povidone Iodine. Sucralfate (topical) is an anti-ulcerant which forms a coating over the affected skin surface. This creates a physical barrier that protects the skin from further injury, allowing it to heal. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic applied on skin which is infected or is likely to get infected.
