How sucralfate + silver sulfadiazine + chlorhexidine gluconate works

This is a combination of three medicines: Sucralfate, Silver Sulfadiazine and Chlorhexidine Gluconate. Sucralfate is an anti-ulcerant which forms a coating over the affected skin surface. This creates a physical barrier that protects the skin from further injury, allowing it to heal. Silver Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant which effectively cleans out cuts, wounds and burns to prevent infection.
