Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen+Thiomersal is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.

How recombinant hepatitis b surface antigen + thiomersal works

This is a combination of two medicines: Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen and Thiomersal. Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen is a vaccine which helps develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections. Thiomersal is a preservative.
