Opipramol is used in the treatment of anxiety disorder. It treats generalised anxiety disorder and somatic disturbances.

How opipramol works

Opipramol increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating mood and treat depression.

Fatigue, Dryness in mouth, Weight gain, Constipation, Blocked nose, Hypotension (low blood pressure), Tachycardia, Vertigo, Drowsiness, Loss of accommodation, Tremors, Feeling thirsty, Allergic reaction, Decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), Paralytic ileus
