Nintedanib is used in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and non-small cell lung cancer.

How nintedanib works

Nintedanib is an anti-cancer medication. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.

Common side effects of nintedanib

Nausea, Abdominal pain, Rash, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Weight loss, Fever, High blood pressure, Headache, Decreased level of thyroid hormones, Decreased appetite, Increased liver enzymes, Arterial thromboembolism (blood clot in artery), Heart attack, Hemorrhage, Respiratory tract infection, Gastrointestinal perforation
