How naphazoline + chlorpheniramine maleate + phenylephrine + hydroxypropylmethylcellulose + menthol + camphor works

This is a combination of six medicines: Naphazoline, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Menthol and Camphor. Naphazoline and Phenylephrine are decongestants which work by narrowing blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating formulation similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort. Menthol and Camphor provide a cooling effect to the eye.
