Metoprolol Succinate+Isosorbide Mononitrate is used in the treatment of Angina (heart-related chest pain) and Heart failure.

How metoprolol succinate + isosorbide mononitrate works

This is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Isosorbide Mononitrate. Metoprolol Succinate is a nitrate which relaxes the blood vessels and decreases the oxygen demand of the heart. Isosorbide Mononitrate is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Together, they improve symptoms of angina (chest pain) and heart failure.
