How mefenamic acid + dicyclomine + dimethicone works
This is a combination of three medicines: Mefenamic Acid, Dicyclomine and Dimethicone. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling). Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions, thereby relieving cramps and pain. Dimethicone is a defoaming medicine which relieves bloating.
