How lidocaine topical + tannic acid works

This is a combination of two medicines: Lidocaine Topical and Tannic Acid. Lidocaine Topical is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain. Tannic Acid is an astringent which works by forming a protective layer on the affected area while exerting antiviral and antibacterial effects.
