- Levosimendan is given as a drip into a vein (intravenous infusion) under the supervision of a doctor.
- It makes you feel dizzy or lightheaded. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- You will be constantly monitored for changes in ECG, blood pressure and heart rate for at least 3 days after the treatment or until you become stable.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
