Hydroquinone+Tretinoin+Fluocinolone acetonide is used in the treatment of melasma.

How hydroquinone + tretinoin + fluocinolone acetonide works

This is a combination of three medicines: Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Fluocinolone acetonide which treat melasma (dark spots on skin). Hydroquinone is a skin lightening medicine. It reduces the amount of a skin pigment (melanin) that causes darkening of skin. Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin to renew itself more quickly. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

Common side effects of hydroquinone + tretinoin + fluocinolone acetonide

Erythema (skin redness), Skin peeling, Burning sensation, Dryness, Itching, Acne-like rash, Rosacea, Dryness in mouth, Rash, Blisters, Hypopigmentation, Allergic contact dermatitis, Secondary infections, Skin atrophy, Stretch marks, Miliaria (sweat rash)
