Halobetasol (topical)+Salicylic Acid is used in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis.

How halobetasol (topical) + salicylic acid works

This is a combination of two medicines: Halobetasol (topical) and Salicylic Acid which treat eczema and psoriasis. Halobetasol (topical) is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Halobetasol (topical) into the skin.

Common side effects of halobetasol (topical) + salicylic acid

Thinning of skin, Dry skin, Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness)
