Gatifloxacin+Ketorolac is used in the treatment of post-operative eye pain and inflammation.

How gatifloxacin + ketorolac works

This is a combination of two medicines: Gatifloxacin and Ketorolac which treat infections. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Expert advice for Gatifloxacin + Ketorolac

  • Gatifloxacin + Ketorolac must be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor.
  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Gatifloxacin + Ketorolac might cause blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
  • Avoid contact with your nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
