Dolutegravir+Emtricitabine+Tenofovir Alafenamide is used in the treatment of HIV infection.

How dolutegravir + emtricitabine + tenofovir alafenamide works

This is a combination of three medicines: Dolutegravir, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Alafenamide. It is an anti-HIV medication and works by preventing the action of reverse transcriptase enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for production of HIV.

Common side effects of dolutegravir + emtricitabine + tenofovir alafenamide

Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Headache, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Fatigue, Hepatitis (viral infection of liver), Myositis, Suicidal ideation, Renal impairment, Itching, Liver toxicity, Hypersensitivity, Worsening of hepatitis B (viral infection of liver), Immune reconstitution syndrome, Lactic acidosis, Hepatomegaly (enlarged liver), Anxiety
