How diphenhydramine + aloe vera + calamine + camphor + glycerin works

This is a combination of five medicines: Diphenhydramine, Aloe Vera, Calamine, Camphor and Glycerin which treat allergic skin conditions. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby relieving symptoms of skin allergy. Aloe Vera is a plant, extracts of which form a protective layer on the skin by restoring moisture, so that skin feels hydrated and refreshed. Calamine and Camphor are mild astringents which impart a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor irritations. Glycerin is a moisturizer.
