How diclofenac + cholestyramine works

This is a combination of two medicines: diclofenac and cholestyramine which relieve abdominal pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Cholestyramine is a bile acid binding agent. It removes bile acid from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol. As a result of which the level of cholesterol in the body is lowered.
