How ciprofloxacin + tinidazole + loperamide works

This is a combination of three medicines: Ciprofloxacin, Tinidazole and Loperamide which treat diarrhea. Ciprofloxacin kills the bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. Tinidazole kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Loperamide is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent.

Take it with or without food but at the same time every day.
Do not skip any dose and finish the course as suggested by the doctor.
Diarrhea can cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids to help rehydrate you.
Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Ciprofloxacin + Tinidazole + Loperamide as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness.
