How casirivimab + imdevimab works

This is a combination of two human immunoglobulins G-1 (IgG1), neutralizing monoclonal antibodies, that bind at different sites on the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This unique binding mechanism, developed using recombinant DNA technology, is equally effective against the existing as well as newer emerging variants and prevents the virus from attaching to the human cell receptors.
