How bromhexine + paracetamol + chlorpheniramine maleate + phenylpropanolamine works

This is a combination of four medicines: Bromhexine, Paracetamol, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Phenylpropanolamine which relieve common cold symptoms. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Phenylpropanolamine is a sympathomimetic agonist. It narrows blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion.
