Betamethasone+Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin)+Gentamicin+Tolnaftate is used in the treatment of skin infections.

How betamethasone + clioquinol (iodochlorhydroxyquin) + gentamicin + tolnaftate works

This is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Gentamicin and Tolnaftate. Betamethasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Gentamicin and Tolnaftate work by preventing the growth and multiplication of both bacteria and fungi on the skin. Together, they treat your skin infection effectively.

  • Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Betamethasone + Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) + Gentamicin + Tolnaftate.
  • Apply it as a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin.
  • It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
  • Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
