This is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, diphenoxylate and furazolidone, which treats diarrhea. Diphenoxylate is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria and other diarrhea-causing microorganisms by damaging their DNA.
