Amlodipine + atorvastatin + ramipril uses

Amlodipine+Atorvastatin+Ramipril is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure).

How amlodipine + atorvastatin + ramipril works

This is a combination of three medicines: Amlodipine, Atorvastatin and Ramipril. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication. It lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly. Together they reduce the risk of heart diseases.

    • Take it at same time every day to maintain the consistent level of drug in the body.
    • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
    • Amlodipine + Atorvastatin + Ramipril can make you feel dizzy for the first few days, so rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. You can also prefer taking it at bedtime to avoid dizziness throughout the day.
    • Let your doctor know about any cough, or throat irritation that does not go away.
