How agomelatine works

Agomelatine is a melatonin agonist. It works by resynchronizing the sleep-wake cycle that is disturbed in depression.

Headache, Dizziness, Fatigue, Anxiety, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Sleepiness, Increased liver enzymes, Abnormal dreams, Gastrointestinal disturbance, Weight gain, Itching, Urticaria, Muscle pain, Sweating, Eczema, Blurred vision, Ringing in ear, Hallucination, Akathisia (inability to stay still), Angioedema (swelling of deeper layers of skin), Hepatitis (viral infection of liver)
