Expert advice FOR Xovatra Eye Drop

  • For best results, put one drop once a day in the evening/night in the affected eye(s).
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.
  • Travoprost may cause brown pigmentation of the iris. This discoloration may be permanent.
  • Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Travoprost.
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Travoprost helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.

Yes, Xovatra Eye Drop may gradually cause some changes to your eyelashes. It may increase the length, thickness, pigmentation and number of lashes. These changes are usually reversible and disappear after discontinuation of the treatment.
Q. How long does it take for Xovatra Eye Drop to work?
Xovatra Eye Drop starts working quickly after about 2 hours of administration. The maximum effect of this medicine is reached after about 12 hours. Consult your doctor if you do not notice any improvement in your symptoms in a day.

Always use Xovatra Eye Drop as directed by your doctor. It is usually recommended to put one drop in the affected eye(s) once a day, in the evening. Use it in both the eyes if advised by the doctor. Take it for as long as your doctor has advised you.

Store Xovatra Eye Drop at 2°C - 25°C (36°F - 77°F). Keep it out of reach and sight of children. Before opening, keep the bottle in the container it came in to protect it from moisture. Do not use it after the expiry date. After opening the bottle, use it only for 2 weeks.
Q. Can I stop Xovatra Eye Drop if I am fine now?
No, you should not stop using Xovatra Eye Drop without consulting your doctor. If you stop taking this medicine suddenly, the pressure in your eyes may not be controlled which may increase the risk of loss of sight.

You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop an eye infection, conjunctivitis or an eyelid reaction. Also, you should inform the doctor if you have an eye injury or eye surgery. Discuss with your doctor if you have to continue using Xovatra Eye Drop.
Q. Can I use Xovatra Eye Drop with contact lenses?
No, you should remove your contact lenses before instilling Xovatra Eye Drop. You can re-insert the lens 15 minutes after using Xovatra Eye Drop. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
