Tidomet Plus Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Keep a two hours gap for food intake.
Avoid Tidomet Plus Tablet with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Tidomet Plus Tablet.

Tidomet Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Tidomet Plus Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Tidomet Plus Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.

How it works

Levodopa works by being converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control the movement through transmission of signals in the brain.

Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Loss of appetite, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Akathisia (inability to stay still)

Uses

Carbidopa is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

How it works

Carbidopa is always given with levodopa. It works by preventing levodopa from being broken down before it reaches the brain. This allows for a lower dose of levodopa, which causes less nausea and vomiting.
