Ripasudil(0.4% w/v)

Uses

Ripasudil is used in the treatment of Glaucoma and Ocular hypertension.

How it works

Ripasudil belongs to a class of medicines known as Rho kinase inhibitors. It promotes the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye into the systemic circulation. This decreases the increased fluid pressure in the eyes.

Common side effects

Conjunctival hyperemia, Conjunctivitis, Eyelid inflammation, Eye irritation, Corneal epithelial disorders, Eye itching, Abnormal sensation in eyes, Eye discharge, Eye pain, Follicular conjunctivitis, Increased intraocular pressure, Hypersensitivity
Timolol(0.5% w/v)

Uses

Timolol is used in the treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma.

How it works

Timolol is a beta blocker. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
