How rhopress eye drop works

Rhopress 0.2mg Eye Drop 2.5ml contains Netarsudil, a rho kinase inhibitor, which is believed to reduce the pressure inside the eyes called intraocular pressure (IOP), by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor through the trabecular meshwork route. Aqueous humor is a transparent water-like fluid in the eye that bathes and nourishes the lens and maintains pressure within the eye. This helps to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Expert advice FOR Rhopress Eye Drop

  • Netarsudil is helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.
  • Remove contact lenses before using Netarsudil, and wait at least 15 minutes before re-inserting them.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
  • For best results, put one drop 2-3 times daily in the affected eye(s).
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
  • When applying multiple eye medications, wait for at least 5-15 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of the medicine.
