Oxicojen Cream is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Oxicojen Cream is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Oxicojen Cream via licking.

  • Some tips for personal hygiene:
    • Wash your hands with soap before and after applying the cream.

  • Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • It can take a few weeks for the infection to clear and a few months before the skin returns to its normal color.
